Hooray! #SvelteKit 1.0 has been tagged and released!
As someone who was Team SvelteKit before it was even a thing (I used Sapper, y'all), I have been very excited about SvelteKit and watching its progress.
I even have a couple SvelteKit apps in production already! So this is a big day for my toolkit.
Congrats to all who have worked on this amazing tool. I look forward to contributing (again).
FYI: Deque is hosting a free webinar next week on “How to Find and Fix the Top 3 Accessibility Issues”. https://accessibility.deque.com/how-to-find-and-fix-the-top-three-accessibility-issues
Folks are consistently asking me to how to get better at web #accessibility.
If you are in that basket of wanting to learn how to make higher quality and more usable web products, then check out this upcoming course from @SaraSoueidan.
Until December 10, you can get a discounted pre-order for $299. This is hella cheap compared to the knowledge and insight you will gain.
I guess it's time to really familiarize myself with Container Size Queries.
Coming to Firefox In a month! 🎉
Deque (Axe-Con) has extended their call for speakers deadline to Wednesday, December 14th at 5:00 PM PST! Happy submitting.

As an Alabama fan, I usually enjoy a good ole' Auburn shit show. But their hiring of Hugh Freeze is a whole new lower level of trash.
They are gonna waste a couple more years with him and not only continue to tarnish their football reputation, but now they're going to tarnish their reputation with their students.
I just found out that cursor parking lots are a thing. Can't wait to use this. 🤣 https://www.google.com/search?q=cursor+parking+lot&sxsrf=ALiCzsZeThaqojxkk1gu9GpqdW9[…]qWCidT7AhVJFVkFHbTBAwoQ_AUoAXoECAEQAw&biw=1600&bih=1197&dpr=2
The founder of Post said today that the company is explicitly *not* focused on accessibility. Disappointing to read something like this in 2022

Unfortunately I have to stop actively working on #Metatext for a while due to health issues. I really wish I could implement Mastodon 4 features and squash every bug, but it's not possible for me to do so right now.
I know the app has become important to a lot people, so I'm open to a new maintainer who can carry on its values of privacy and accessibility taking it over if there's interest and a fit. Email info@metabolist.org if you (or your organization) are interested
